Philadelphia
Airport – The Philadelphia airport
has five major terminals. These run both domestic
flights and international flights on more than thirty
different domestic and international air lines. The
air port features three airline lounges. Car parking
is available for long and short term span. Rental
cars are available in the airport. You can find bars,
restaurants and snack bars inside each of the terminals.
You can also find shops such as Press Relay, Philadelphia
Museums Store, Pennsylvania Market, Fossil
Shop, and Prestige Pens. These are great for last
second gifts on the way home. You can find ATMs and
foreign currency exchange desks inside all the terminals
in case you need some extra cash.
Shuttles, trains and busses are available to take
you from the airport to the city and from the city
back to the airport. These are run by the Southeastern
Pennsylvania Transportation Authority. These
run at set intervals, though if you choose to travel
at a high volume time or during the holidays the schedule
may be slightly different. If you need specific or
detailed information about the transportation schedules
or if you want to get a taxi or limo into the city
you will want to contact the ground transport counters
in baggage claim areas of the terminal. The taxi’s
are available from the airport, 24 hours a day, seven
days a week.
You can also find a variety of Trains leading
to the airport and city. The trains leave every thirty
minutes from 6am until midnight. You can get more
information about the different trains and their schedules
by calling 215-580-7800 during normal business hours.
Philadelphia Airport is generally
very well marked on the roadways leading up to it,
and any hotel desk clerk should be able to give you
driving directions to the airport without any problems.
